Overview

Essaouira’s fortified medina, once known as Mogador, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its trade-wind breeze, relaxed atmosphere and creative spirit make it a favourite with travellers. The drive from Marrakech generally takes around two and a half to three hours.
